I have to credit Dave for helping me get started on this musical journey. In the back in my mind, I had always wanted to get to know musicians, whose songs could inspire me even more because I knew them personally; who made me feel like I should keep going to see them play and develop a relationship with them. Lucky for me, he and his band were the first group I got to see live since my classmates' bands in high school. He has helped me to see many other groups and venues and form more friendships, but he will always be the first artist that helped make this forgotten dream come true.

Dave's sound is hard to define, but it is generally emotionally-tinged rock inspired by artists such as R.E.M., Third Eye Blind and Tom Petty. He has gotten a new band together, the Brothers Gruff, and is taking on the world once again. His long-awaited second album is due in Spring 2006.

His self-titled album, released in 2002, is still available at both his website and cdbaby.com.

When I first started going to see Dave, he had Candice Harris and Mike Gioella in his band. Candice is now in Polymer. Mike is now playing with Rain Dog.

Then Candice's good friend Todd replaced Mike for a few shows.

Now he plays with the Brothers Gruff - Greg Long, Frank Scheurer and Dan Gober. Frank played in one of Dave's first groups.
