Street Road Bar and Grille - 12/17/05
The Concert Of Devlin Past
This Dave Devlin show at the Street Road Bar and Grille unexpectedly became nostalgic with friends from his past concerts attending: Josh from L.P. who was moving to California, Candice from Polymer who had a fun tenure playing with Dave and a few other friends. The previous Devlin show was great there and I was worried that not as many people would show, but those feelings would ease as the night wore on. Parker Barrow, a last-minute opening act, took avantage of the good spot. When it was time for the main act Dave and Greg encountered much better luck this time around and produced a much smoother set. They brought out some of the songs that were first played with Candice and she was able to see them performed from the other side. It was interesting to see her follow along. I guess when you have rehearsed and know a song so well, it never completely fades from memory. After the show, I got reaccquainted with and introduced Frank and Greg to these old friends.
