John and Peter's - 3/25/06

John and Peter's had an open night on their schedule and Dave Devlin took it, taking over the venue for the second time in a little over two weeks. This time, with having played a gig the night before topped with the fact that Greg was homebound, led him to relax a bit. He, along with Dan Gober, made sure the sound was perfect as well. For this show, Gober was able to unleash a full set of folk-rock songs complete with complex acoustic guitar work and raspy vocals. Parker Barrow, who had played with Devlin the night before, brought along their Beatles vibe (with even the same model bass that Paul McCartney still uses today) along with plenty of supporters. Devlin himself would not be on long. He played six songs, some with Gober improvising on drums, took the mike for "Rockin' The Free World" then handed the stage back to members of Parker Barrow (Frank remained for bass duty) who then took requests.
