Milestones: Blue Sinatra

I thought that this show would be a throwaway because it was last-minute and Dave Devlin was performing without his band. But how wrong I was. I finally saw what early reviews on Dave's website were talking about - he is very powerful and emotional solo. This tends to be diluted when he has a band. He performed a few older songs I hadn't heard before and the others sounded very different acoustic.

Dave performed five songs and left early for a trip the next day but I stayed around on a hunch and was able to see Blue Sinatra and P.I.C. I clicked with Blue Sinatra almost right away and their mix of funk, rap and soul, an amazing cover of Prince's "Kiss", plus a Transformers reference in their song "Unicron" let me know I was going to see them again. P.I.C. was very different from most groups I had seen and was a good finale.

The above pictures demonstrate the power of Dave Devlin solo.
