Da Bar - 9/2/05
With A New Band And Plan
It had been a few months since Dave Devlin had played because he was busy forming a new band, writing new songs and recording. I was not able to see his first few shows with the band so at Da Bar I was expecting something big. Knowing that this band was going to be much better made me feel good about the changes. His newer songs had a new dimension and all of his songs sounded more like he wanted them to. They rightfully brought back a few older songs including the classic tune "April" (which I had never heard live) and retired some covers. By the end of the show I wasn't missing the former bands as much onstage as I missed the camaraderie offstage. I know that this band will help get Dave to where he wants to be as an artist and I can't wait to follow him there.
