Grape Street - 3/3/06
Spring Break At The Grape
For the first time this year, I had to make a decision about which group to see. Two days before, I got an invite from Candice to see Polymer at Grape Street. I usually keep track of these things so I might have missed it otherwise. I hadn't seen them since New Year's Eve so it ended up being a no-brainer. When I got there, there were two surprises. The first was that I got there just in time to see their performance, I usually get there early. The second was all of the college kids that were there. I didn't realize that it was the Friday before Spring Break so Nicole was there, along with plenty of other friends of the band that were able to come out. It was really nice that it was a mostly non-smoking crowd. The band played a couple of new songs and did a great job there once again. After their set, there was plenty of socializing and catching up to be done in the very crowded lobby. It is amazing to note that all three of Candice's friends who I have seen at Polymer shows were there. We all checked out some of the other acts like Superhero, trying their best to live up to their name, doing a very good rendition of "Under Pressure".
