Blue Number Nine
Over the years, Blue Number Nine has indured many changes but its identity has remained the same. Their melding of '70s pop, funk and jazz and melodies have given them a name in the crowded music scene. Leader Stefanie Seskin is not opposed to sharing the spotlight with her backing singers and allows each of them to handle lead duty on a few songs. They have taught me much about performing, producing and recording with full-time jobs and keeping a vision despite the passage of time and a fluctuating lineup. They tour from the East Coast to the Midwest but play in the area occasionally and I hope to see them again.
