The Wet Whistle - 8/6/05
Wetting My DMB Whistle
Since TCS was not on the Triumph schedule this month, I decide to see them at the Wet Whistle at Abington Country Club, which is not that much farther. I got a longer set than at the Triumph and a more down-home atmosphere. Drummer Kevin looked like he could get toasty in the fireplace, while sax player Rich was cooked a little too long on vacation. Despite some drunken exploits in the audience and the monitors mounted over the band that could be distracting at times, it was a solid show as always. Dave Matthews would be proud. (Note - this is the last time I would see this group together.)
