Finally, "After Party"

I went to Future 86's show at John and Peter's with two things on my mind; getting their latest album and hanging out outside the club after the show. I got both goals taken care of and was proud to do so. There were no props or long comedy routines this time, just rock and roll fun. Andy was now a full member of the band but it seemed like he had been playing with them for years. Every J&P show has new covers, this one no exception. When they did "Dream On", I wasn't sure if Courtney could handle the vocal demands but it came out O.K. They also played Judas Priest and Twisted Sister classics, even some ZZ Top and Madonna which I wasn't expecting. Afterward, we all headed to our friend Josh's house across the river in Lambertville, where the band was staying while in New Hope . It was great to hear the band discuss the show, miscues, and flubs, share comments and salvaged set lists. With a few discussions on music and classic Beatle conspiracy theories, the "party" lasted into early morning, but with Future 86 only in the area every few months, it was worth it.
