Big Head's Warminster - 6/10/05
A Teaser From The Pheromones
Catching the Pheromones at Big Head's gave this prospective fan only a taste of what they can do in less than the best conditions. Their host the John Neumann Band had something to do with that, playing the bread in this sonic sandwich. They gave the regular crowd what they wanted, interesting covers of rock and roll and some R&B classics featuring violin. Finally, the Pheromones got their turn. They only played about six songs; it seemed as though the mix didn't sound right and it was difficult to hear the vocals. You were unable to get their full effect with this performance. Some of their songs were odd but overall they are different enough to warrant another listen. Then the John Neumann Band came back and finished the night with guest vocalists and guitarists.
