John and Peter's Sails Again

John and Peter's was heavily affected by the latest flooding in New Hope, which led the club to be closed for two weeks. It has rebounded well judging by the first show I have witnessed since then. As soon as I stepped in, I knew everything was right once again with one improvement - a new carpet for the stage that was sorely needed. On to the show. Regular visitors Sinking Ship demonstrated their amazing powers with silly costumes and songs. With plenty of dirty words and jokes and encouragement for female fans to come onstage and flash the audience, this is a band for adults only. Most of the members' alter-egos are part of another J&P regular, Tim Conley's Ocean Exposition. Opener Grass blended funk and good 'ol rock & roll.
