New Year, New MOW

Mouth of Wilson began their touring year with a return visit to Triumph, their first official show as a quintet. A new song, which was untitled, had an up-tempo beat which reminds one of a speeding train. I came up with a title, "Train Song", maybe I'll come up with a better one after hearing it a few more times. During the now-standard rendition of "Kashmir" Joe wrecked a guitar string and was forced to use Devin's backup guitar. They had new copies of their demo to hand out (this one said it was an .mp3 disk but it played fine in my stereo). It was great to reconnect with the guys and their wives after almost two months. They asked me to suggest the song to begin their next show with and that led to the opportunity to create the entire set! I got working on it as soon as I got home.
