Triumph Brewing Company - 12/3/05

I was expecting to see the Kin at the Triumph but instead got an acoustic show featuring the core of the group, the Koren brothers. I was disappointed; I really wanted to see the whole band. Their originals sounded good, and their covers included songs by fellow Australian group Crowded House and U2. The brothers' vocals were almost identical; sometimes I couldn't tell which was singing. The show wasn't long but it interested me enough to hope that they will play in the area again. Afterward, I went to John and Peter's to see the John Hickey Band, another one of their regular acts, and some old-school funk.
